Pin Up Girl Bowling Shirt

I was surfing our corporate master’s website when I stumbled across this scrumptious little shirt. Now who doesn’t love a pin up girl? I’m not talking about porn stars; I’m not talking about actresses who also happen to be pretty. I’m talking about that unique class of classy, beautiful women who are sometimes inexplicably famous and always look great in stills. Now, sometimes they can also be actresses but the pin ups have that something else.

The best part of pin up girls is often their wit. They know who they are, they know their role – at least as the world sees it – and they love to laugh at that.

  • I have got two reasons for success and I’m standing on both of them. – Betty Grable
  • I do know that God created us equal and we’re not living up to it. Jayne Mansfield
  • I don’t mind living in a man’s world as long as I can be a woman in it. – Marilyn Monroe
  • Publicity can be terrible. But only if you don’t have any. – Jane Russell
  • Don’t keep a man guessing too long – he’s sure to find the answer somewhere else. – Mae West

National Leopard Print Month

So, on Monday I declared it National Leopard Print Month here in the Lounge. I’m still not sure why I did that. I suppose I was drunk with power or perhaps just drunk but, we’re stuck with it now.

How shall we celebrate? Personally, I’ve been wrapped in my leopard print snuggie ever since the announcement. Of course our corporate sponsor would like me to point out the delightful leopard print bowling shirt available on their website. You’re strongly encouraged to be wearing one on your next visit to the Lounge.

How else can we celebrate National Leopard Print Month? Leave your suggestions in the comments section.

That Charlie Sheen Signature

By now you’ve probably seen or heard of the Charlie Sheen shirts collection. Designed by Davinci, they reflect that great, retro casual style he wears on Two and a Half Men.

They reflect that Sheen signature – off the cuff, relaxed but somehow elegant. Here’s a handful of Charlie’s quotes in the same vein.

On winning a Golden Globe
“This is like a sober acid trip”

On the acting profession
“Usually in a battle sequence when a bomb is going off, you forget you’re acting.”

“There is a fine line between confidence and cockiness. And when you lose sight of what side you’re walking on, that’s when you are in trouble.”

“I don’t know. I want to go home at the end of the day and feel like I left a certain part of myself behind. You watch a Pacino performance, a DeNiro performance, you sit back in wonder and watch what they did. I’m curious as to what it would take for me to get to that place.”

“It’s hard to be specific about what parts I may have lost. But ultimately, it’s what I’m known for.”

On vampires (okay, it’s really about drinking)
“I was just tired – and sick and tired of being sick and tired, of living like a vampire.”

Two and a Half Men – Whipped Unto The Third Generation

It’s another Monday and, believe me, I’m truly sorry about that.

But, one good thing about this current set of Mondays we’re enduring, new episodes of Two and a Half Men come of the end of the day.

Tonight’s episode is concerned with that growing crowd of roommates joining Charlie in what is supposed to be his house. Last week we got a hint of things to come when Alan’s girlfriend was doing everything involved with living there – sleeping, showering, even going grocery shopping. But, Alan continued to insist that she hadn’t moved in. This week it looks like things will even get worse when the new roommates throw a party. Oh, and a ventriloquist dummy is somehow involved, a little detail that, if I were Charlie would send me over the edge.

Here’s a taste of what’s to come:

Cool Gifts for Dad

men's retro bowling shirt

What does casual wear mean for the ol’ man? Ratty tee shirts? Socks and sandals? Plaid shorts? (Two out of those three things are completely uncool. I’ll leave it to you to figure this one out.)

How about sprucing up Dad’s look this year for father’s day? Whether casual means a ten year old tee shirt that expired seven years ago or a type “A” personality style polo shirt, creased and ironed, Dad’s look could probably do with an overhaul, right? Check out these totally cool bowling shirts. Oh, sure, it just so happens that they’re being sold by the Lounge’s mother-site, Bowling Concepts, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t also think that they’re completely cool. (We do.)

What, you don’t want to pay through the nose for two day shipping so you can get it in time for Father’s Day this weekend? Well you shouldn’t have waited until the last minute then, should you? That was totally uncool of you, by the way.

Do yourself and your dad and favor. Check out these shirts. Maybe, finally, he’ll stop scaring the neighborhood kids when he wanders out into the backyard in what he thinks is his cool casual wear.
